Webinar for Mental Health Care Professionals

I’m excited to offer an online workshop for mental health providers on “The Safe & Ethical use of Art-in-Therapy”, based on techniques I developed over the past 10 years, following the American Art Therapy Associations’ guidelines for training non-art therapists.

Do I need to be a licensed “Art Therapist” to use art with clients and patients?

While in New York you need to be licensed to practice “Art Therapy”, a powerful psychotherapy modality that requires years of training and practice, there are safe and ethical ways for all mental health providers to use art to enhance their practice and self-care.

What will the Webinar cover?

  • Learn the fundamentals of Art Therapy and what makes Art Therapists such a valuable resource.

  • Learn “Rules & Tools” for using art, within scope-of-practice, to enhance mood regulation, insight and connection.

  • This workshop includes a restorative art-based experiential you can also use with clients. Art skills or experience are NOT required.

Do I need art materials to participate in the Webinar?

Please bring colored pencils/markers and plain paper. A pen and notebook paper will also work.

When is the Webinar? Will it be recorded?

When: Thursday, May 2nd, 7:00-8:30 PM ET

Cost: $75

The Webinar will be recorded and will be available for viewing for one week following the session.

Please, share widely! Looking forward to seeing you!
